An Important Announcement: Transition to Our New Name

We are excited to share a significant milestone in the history of our organization. As approved by our Board of Directors, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) is officially beginning a transition to a new organizational name: the National Association of Catholic Church Musicians (NACCM).

This update reflects our ongoing commitment to clarity, mission, and supporting the vital work we do every day in parishes across the country. Below is key information regarding what this change means for our local chapter and how the National Office will support you throughout this transition.

What You Need To Know: Key Information for Our Local Chapter

  • A Gradual Process: Our chapter will gradually change its branding over to the new name and logo.

  • There is no impact to your membership at this time. All of your benefits and resources stay exactly the same.

  • There is no impact to our local chapter activities. Our name change to NACCM does not impact our chapter’s day-to-day operations, meeting schedules, local programming, and event planning.

  • Banking & Financial Guidance: We understand that local banking arrangements are a top priority. The National Office is actively working with financial institutions and legal advisors to ensure a smooth transition for chapter bank accounts. Detailed instructions and support documentation regarding banking updates will be provided directly by the National Office in a dedicated follow-up communication.

While our name is changing from NPM to NACCM, our mission to foster the art of musical liturgy in the Catholic Church remains unchanged. You will still find the same dedicated community, the same enriching educational resources, and the same passionate support for your ministry. We are simply stepping forward with a title that clearly reflects the heart and mission of our shared vocation.

Thank you for your dedicated service to music ministry in the Church. We look forward to walking together into this next chapter as the National Association of Catholic Church Musicians!
