Loyola University: Campus Minister for Catholic Liturgical Music
Summary
The Campus Minister for Catholic Liturgical Music provides liturgical music and pastoral leadership to the university community. This work is done in partnership with the Sacramental Life team of which they are a member. This person is also an adept collaborator across departments at the university, especially in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts as an adjunct faculty member and frequent campus partner. As a member of the wider team of campus ministers, this person also serves our student population attending to their spiritual well-being in line with the Ignatian principle of Care for the Whole Person (Cura Personalis).
Education and Work Experience
Master-level education in music, divinity, theology, pastoral ministry or related field, and three to five years of professional ministerial experience in a Roman Catholic setting. A person with exceptional pipe organ, piano, and conducting skills and well-versed in a variety of musical styles. A practicing Christian of deep faith with the ability to articulate Loyola University Chicago’s Jesuit, Catholic identity in an engaging and intelligent manner. Experience creating inclusive environments for a diverse student body
