Larry VanMersbergen is a native to Chicagoland and has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Illinois State University and a Master of Education degree from National Louis University. Most recently Larry was the orchestra director for NorthbookDistrict 30 and has served on the faculties of Duquesne University and VanderCook College of Music. Larry has served as a consultant for advertising and marketing companies in the west suburbs with a focus on social media marketing. His experience in his home parish of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego includes playing guitar in the Heart of Worship contemporary group for more than 20 years. Larry has extensive knowledge of Catholic music. He is a member of ASCAP and has music published for guitar and orchestras.

Jeremy Kiolbassa | Vicariate II Representative
Jeremy Kiolbassa is a performer and composer, living and working in Chicago, IL. His Fascination with sacred music the organ began in his formative years at St. Hyacinth Catholic School in Chicago. In childhood he demonstrated a natural ability to play by ear, and his abilities developed without formal training into adolescence, teaching himself to read music while continuing to play by ear and improvise. His formal musical training began relatively late as he attended Whitney Young High School in Chicago. While refining his keyboard technique, he also gained a great love for choral repertoire during this time, singing in choirs under the baton of two great conductors, Scott Arkenberg and Gloria Brown. He went on to attend VanderCook College of Music to study music education. He studied applied piano in the studio of Ms. Marianne Krupa and choral conducting with Dr. Robert Sinclair. He also served as the choral librarian for two years. He had the privilege of studying organ with Dr. Elizabeth Naegele at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for just over 3 years. He currently serves as Director of Music Ministry at St. Benedict Parish in Chicago's North Center neighborhood . Under his direction, the parish has embraced the organ and ‘traditional’ worship, and the music program continues to grow exponentially. His ear and natural ability have manifested a love for improvisation and composition.
