GIA Fall Institute

The Fall Institute is a celebration GIA's mission to serve the needs of musicians in all settings. It will take place on October 17-19 at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Downtown Chicago.

We're excited to feature the expertise of some of our great liturgical composers and clinicians alongside many industry leaders in the field of music education.

There will be numerous breakouts suitable for both music directors and members of your choirs. Topics covered range from rehearsal techniques with The Real Group, a cantor's intensive course with Diana Kodner Gökçe, Arranging and Orchestrating liturgical music with Chris de Silva, Choral Conducting courses with James Jordan, and much more.

The GIA Fall Institute is a celebration of our mission to serve the needs of musicians in all settings. We’re bringing together leaders in music, worship, education, and formation to offer an assortment of skill building and enrichment workshops on subjects like choral rehearsal techniques, conducting, pastoral music, leadership, liturgy, theology, organ, piano, and spirituality. There will also be plenum addresses, ecumenical prayer opportunities, along with sacred and secular choral reading sessions.
